On 28th May 2013 a symposium took place at Oxford, which looked into Early Modern European scientific and intellectual history. Under the heading „The New History of Scientific Experience: Observing, Experimenting, Collecting, Representing and Reading in Early Modern Europe“, Prof Lorraine Daston (Berlin/Chicago), Dr Simon Werrett (UCL), Dr Rhodri Lewis (Oxford), Dr Sachiko Kusukawa (Cambridge) and Prof Martin Mulsow (Erfurt/Gotha) were discussing the subject. The symposium was chaired by Prof Laurence Brockliss (Oxford).
